German collective in residency at the Canada Council for the Arts International Residency (April to November 2008)

The German collective Sylvia Winkler & Stephan Köperl creates ephemeral interventions in the urban space.
Presented with modest means, as a visual comment, a game or a song, and often articulated around language, these critiques of social life unexpectedly interfere with the everyday. Lately, Sylvia Winkler & Stephan Köperl have stayed in numerous countries, where they were inspired to denounce specific situations and to question the status quo.

Invited since April 2008 to be part of the Canada Council for the Arts International Residency, Sylvia Winkler & Stephan Köperl present on June 26 an original artistic intervention inspired by the protests against de Griffintown redevelopment project.  Read the news release for more information.
