Laura Martin

Laura Martin loves to explore the world, to seize experiences of presence and objects obscured in the urban environment. She juxtaposes the typical narration of public space with private space: the interior, the outside, conviviality, and isolation. Her instant images trouble the fast pace of the city rhythm, giving her work a bubbly lightness. She is as attracted by people as she is to places of consumption; shopping malls captivate her. When Liberty Yogurt accepter her project titled Best Before, the contents and the container were put into an osmoses. Best Before is the photographic representation of the 5 senses – touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing – reproduced on natural Liberty Yogurt container covers.

Best Before reflects the image of the consumer, all of the senses awakened by their ambulation.
