Applying for an exhibition
The Darling Foundry accepts at all times proposals to exhibit in its exhibition spaces or at an external location for site-specific work.Artists are asked to send their portfolio including an up-to-date resume and visuals representing the artist's current and recent works (past few years). The images can be presented in the form of slides, digital images or any other support, provided that they are easy to view.
The portfolios are submitted to a programming committee that initially analyzes the general quality and the compatibility of work with the Darling Foundry's artistic vision.Secondly, a studio visit is organized in order to better understand the artist's work, processes and mediums.
The artist is then asked to submit a more detailed project proposal taking into account the selected space. If the project is accepted, a presentation date is decided. If the project is not accepted, the artist has the possibility of proposing other projects in the three years following the date of the first selection.Once the project is accepted, the Darling Foundry participates in its production and realization in cooperation with the artist.
